Carol Ann Christenson

Carol Ann Christenson, age 74 of St. Peter, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019.

Carol was born on April 9, 1944 in Mankato to Gerhard and Veronica (Rieff) Mertesdorf. She was a graduate of Nicollet High School. Carol married Howard Christenson on June 6, 1964. She was a homemaker raising four sons and helped with the family auto repair business as an office manager before retiring in 2006 after 21 years. Carol enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, painting, fishing, camping, garage sales and spending time with her grandchildren.

Left to remember Carol are her husband Howard; children: Todd (Lesley), Chad (Lori), Curt and Dustin (Nicole); grandchildren: Taylor, Hannah, Cedric, Evelynn, Edwin, and Carly; brothers: John (Bonnie), Duane and Glenn (special friend Carol); sisters-in-law: Dottie, Ev and Arlowen; and numerous relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Gerald, Eugene, Leon and beloved dog Katie. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at the St. Peter Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall located at 427 West Mulberry Street in St. Peter, Minnesota, on Saturday, January 26, 2019, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. Food and refreshments will be served.
