Desarae Block

Desarae M. Block, age 32 of Le Sueur, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018.

Memorial service will be 11:00 am on Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Catholic Church of St. Peter in St. Peter. Visitation will be from 3:00 – 6:00 pm Sunday, December 16th at the church with a 3:00 pm Prayer Service. Visitation will also continue at 10:00 am Monday. Memorial contributions can be made to First National Bank in St. Peter for the Funeral Acct of Desarae Block. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Desarae Marie was born October 11, 1986 in Mankato to Barbara Lyons and Todd Block. She was raised in St. Peter and is a 2005 graduate of St. Peter High School. She was currently living in Le Sueur and worked at 1st Farmers and Merchant Bank. Desarae loved training dogs, thunderstorms, baking and gardening. She especially loved spending time with her son and other family. She will be remembered for her smile and her loving and giving heart.

Left to remember Desarae are her son, Jack; mother: Barb (George Motto); boyfriend, Chris Jansma;Aunts and uncles: Gail (James) Carr, Peggy (Denny) Toyryla, Vickie (Peter) Kruize, Colleen (John) Convery, and Brenda (Tom) Tenenbaum; paternal Grandmother Darla McArdle; and many cousins and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Ben “Gump” and Rea Lyons, Uncle Tony Lyons and Aunt and Uncle June and Peter Thorson and cousins Royce and Regan Thorson.
