Carol Ann Karl

Carol Ann Karl, age 80 of St. Peter, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Ecumen Prairie Hill in St. Peter.

Memorial service will be 11:00 am Saturday, January 5, 2019 at St. Peter Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Fort Snelling at a later date.

Carol was born on September 2, 1938 in Chicago, IL to Harry E. and Dorothy I. (Bouchard) Cline. She attended school in Chicago, graduating from Taft High. Carol married Edward J. Karl on May 13, 1967. They moved to St. Peter in 1971 where Carol was employed by the St. Peter School District working as a library clerk. She later worked at the Bookmark at Gustavus Adolphus College. Carol was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter, the Red Hat Society, Women’s Bowling League and a card club. She enjoyed coffee groups, cooking and baking, crocheting, crossword puzzles and reading.

 Left to remember Carol are her children: Ed, Jr. (Katie), Tom (Becky) and Carrie (Joel) Krestik; grandchildren: Ruth and Caleb; sisters: Dorothy Cline and Florence (Rick) Damptz; Honorary fifth sister: Jan Hamilton; niece: Becky Damptz and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Ed in July, her parents and sister, Mary Lou Raymond.
