Russell “Russ” Hoehn, age 72 of St. Peter, passed away at Methodist Hospital in Rochester on Sunday, November 25, 2018.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the Catholic Church of St. Peter with visitation beginning at 9:00 am. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Russell Joseph was born June 26, 1946 in Mankato to Willard C. and Odelia (Derner) Hoehn. He attended Nicollet Public Schools, graduating in 1964. Russ was united in marriage to Candace Boeke in 1965. They had two children and later divorced. He was united in marriage to Marlene Katzenmeyer in 1978 and they had three children. Russ was a farmer and loved what he did. He loved John Deere tractors, driving in his truck, watching the weather, talking with friends over coffee, traveling and road trips. He especially loved his family and watching Vikings games with his children and grandchildren.
Left to remember Russ are his wife, Marlene; children: Michelle (Gwyn) Hoehn, Kurt (Michele) Hoehn, Alisa (Brad) Opsahl, Lindsey (Eric) Jerke and Meghan Hoehn; grandchildren: Leona, Ehren, Logan, Carter, Brecken, Julianna and Emmeline; siblings; Marilyn Glynn, Stanley, Ronald (Irene) and Willard Jr. (Robyn); and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Andrea Hoehn and brother-in-law Mark Glynn.
