Donald Foss

Donald H. Foss, age 83 of St. Peter, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at St. Mary’s in Rochester.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at St. Peter Funeral Home with visitation 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday. The visitation will continue Wednesday at 10:00 am. Don was born March 5, 1935 in Roseau, MN to Frederick and Lydia (Jopp) Foss.

Don is survived by his wife, Charlotte; his 5 children, Sherry (Doug) Clary, Lori (Joe-preceded in death) Schoborg, Julie (James) Harris, Patty Foss, and Tony (Kari-fiancée) Foss. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kyle, Beth, Sara, Chris, Laura, Steve, Jeremy, Heather, TJ, Danny, Devin & Spencer. Also survived by his 14 great-grandchildren.

Don is preceded in death by his father, Frederick; mother, Lydia; great-granddaughter, Gracie; son-in-law, Joe; as well as several sisters/brothers-in-law.

Don was a long time employee of Hansen Sanitation. He was also a “shade-tree” mechanic. He loved watching westerns, The Red Greene Show, and watching RFDTV. He also loved classic country music, MPR radio, and in his younger years he loved deer hunting. His favorite thing was to “Fossilize” everything.
