Lawrence L. Seitzer

Lawrence (Larry) L. Seitzer, Age 69 of Mankato, Minnesota passed away at Benedictine Nursing Home in St. Peter on Tuesday June 5th 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer stemming from the fall of 2017.

Larry was born July 13th 1948 in St. Peter, MN. He graduated from St. Peter High School in 1966 and worked throughout his life as a Purchasing Manager for companies such as UFE, DuPont, and Caterpillar before retiring from Coughlan Company in Mankato 2009.

Larry was president of the Minnesota Valley Corvette Club for multiple years, a member of Classic Corvette and Suburban Corvette Club of Minnesota for over 3 decades. He was an avid car collector himself owning over 100 Corvettes throughout his life, among other classic American muscle cars. He enjoyed local car shows throughout Minnesota making it a point to try to be at Back-to-the-50’s every year.

Larry is survived by his son Jonathan (Nichol) Michels, his granddaughter Charlotte Michels, significant other Deb Lamoreux, Siblings – Tom (Deb) Seitzer, Jerry (Carol) Seitzer, Brian (Diane) Seitzer, Merlin (Brenda) Seitzer, Janice (Mike) Leiding, and many Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles & Cousins. Larry was preceded in death by his father and mother Lloyd and Betty Seitzer.

The memorial service for Larry will be held at St. Peter Funeral Home ~ Klein Chapel in St. Peter MN from 11am-2pm Saturday June 16th followed by his burial held at Calvary Cemetery in St. Peter, MN.
