Kevin J. Brandt

Kevin J. Brandt, age 61 of St. Peter, died on Friday, April 13, 2018 at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00 pm on Friday, April 20, 2018 at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, St. Peter. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 Thursday at the church with a prayer service at 7:30pm; and also one hour prior to the service.  Memories can be shared with the family at www.saintpeterfuneralhome.com. Kevin was born on December 10, 1956 in Mankato to Wilbert and Catherine (Volk) Brandt. He graduated from St. Peter High School in 1975 and joined the family business, Brandt Auto, until retiring for health reasons. Kevin was a member of the Southern MN Auto Restorers Club and enjoyed working on cars, being outdoors, feeding animals, NASCAR, and family gatherings. He will be remembered as jokester and for embellishing stories. Left to remember Kevin are his son, Scott (Bailey); mother, Catherine Tietz; siblings: Betty Hale, Ernie (Bonnie) Brandt, Sharon Ternes, Nancy (Ron) Mealman, Patty Brandt, Dale Brandt, and Gail (Gary) Brandt Otero; step sister Sandra Blekestad; grand dogs: Nash and Yeti; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Wilbert, step father Carl Tietz, and brothers-in-law Leo Ternes and Gordy Hale.
