Darlena Mae Jackson

Darlena Mae Jackson, age 80, of St. Peter, Minnesota and formerly Logan, Iowa, died Friday, April 6, 2018 at Prairie Hill Assisted Living in St. Peter. A private family service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Magnolia Cemetery in Magnolia, Iowa. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting Darlena's family. 

Darlena was born May 24, 1937 in Bicknell, Indiana to Paul and Dorothy (Valaney) Walker. She married Russell Clay Jackson on December 10, 1955 in Rockport, Missouri. They lived in Logan, Iowa until Russell's passing in 2014. Darlena worked at Westmount Care Center in Logan for 27 years. Darlena enjoyed animals and she loved her pets that she had over the years. 

Darlena is survived by her children: Sylvia (Ed) Allen of St. Peter, MN; Darlena Gochenour of St. Peter, MN; Teri Allen (special friend Bill Muldoon) of Lake Crystal, MN; and James Jackson of Carell, IA; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Crowe and James Crowe; spouse of 59 years, Russell; grandchildren: Thomas, Mindi, and Brent Allen; and son-in-law, Joseph "Joe" Allen.
