Helen M. Voit, age 84 of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Ecumen Prairie Hill in St. Peter.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Monday, April 2, 2018 at the Church of the Nativity in Cleveland with visitation at 9:00 am. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery (Scotch Lake), Cleveland. Condolences can be left at www.saintpeterfuneralhome.com.

Helen was born on April 4, 1933 in Heron Lake, MN to Ludwig and Mary (Wagner) Pelzel. She attended country school and later Beauty School in Mankato. Helen was united in marriage to Emil Voit on February 14, 1955 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Heron Lake. They made their home in Cleveland where she operated Helen’s Beauty Shop until 2016. She was active at Nativity in the CCW and church choir. Helen enjoyed doing hair, baking, sewing, gardening, dancing and especially family.

Left to remember Helen are her children: Dwight (Pam) of Cleveland, Dave (Barbara) of Las Vegas, Doug (Emma) of Cleveland, Brad (Angie) of Cleveland and Jaci (Robbie) Kopet of Cleveland; grandchildren: Jason Voit, Heidi Wobbrock, Keenan Voit, Kelsey Moakler, Charlie Voit, Sam Voit, Jack Voit, Cassidy Kopet and Carter Kopet; Great grandchildren: Kylie Wobbrock, Lexi Wobbrock and Blair Voit; brothers: Bob (Judy) Pelzel and Gene (Delores), both of Heron Lake and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil; brothers: Cyril, Clayton, John Henry and Don Pelzel; and sisters: Rosemary Loke and Geraldine Pelzel.
