Stasia Marion (Biehn) Christensen, age 86, died at her home in Madison Lake on Tuesday, November 21, 2017.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday , November 25, 2017 at Marysburg Catholic Church, Madison Lake. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Friday at St. Peter Funeral Home, and continues one hour prior to the service at the church Saturday.
Stasia was born October 16, 1931, Mankato, MN. She was the daughter of Frank and Mary (Smith) Biehn. Stasia was a 1949 graduate of Cleveland High School and a 1953 graduate of College of St. Benedict’s in Collegeville, Minnesota with a degree in education. She was united in marriage to Russell Christensen on July 11, 1953, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception (Marysburg Church) in Madison Lake. After they married, they moved to the home farm in 1955.
Stasia was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception. She and Russell enjoyed spending time in Naples, FL over the winter months. Stasia’s favorite pastime was playing cards, especially bridge.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Jim of Madison Lake; JoAnn (Brian) Oestreich of Long Prairie; Dan (Jolene) of Madison Lake; John (Jessica) of Shakopee; Tom (Chris) of Cleveland; grandchildren: Jaci Christensen, Kelly (Chad) Lower, Emily (Tim) Simmerly, Briana (Scott) Johnson, Samantha (Ben) Olsen, Izze (Drew) Johnson, Danielle Christensen, Katie Decker, Jace Christensen, Jadyn Christensen; great-grandchildren: Ella, Timmy, Juliette, Sebastian Simmerly and Spencer Lower; sister, Audrey; and sister-in-law Margaret Biehn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell, of 64 years; son, Michael; sister, Sally; and two brothers, Billy and Michael.
