Duane E. Rossow, age 72 of St. Peter, passed Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Benedictine Court in St. Peter.
Memorial Service will be 11:00 am on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Peter with visitation one hour prior to the service. Urn burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed toward the MS Society. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Duane was born on September 3, 1945 in Jackson MN to Earl and Veona (Asp) Rossow. He is a 1963 graduate of Sherburn High School. He served in the US Navy during Vietnam and after his discharge he served in the MN Army National Guard. Duane was united in marriage to Charleen Kay Menk in 1970 at Trinity Lutheran in Nicollet. They lived in St. Peter and he was a bartender as well as a member at the St. Peter Red Men Club. He loved music: anything from classical to 1960s popular music, playing organ, reading and spending time with his family.
Left to remember Duane are his daughters: Heidi (Peter) Zimmermann and Heather (Scott) Curtis; grandchildren: Harry and Claudia Zimmermann and Miles and Emily Curtis; siblings: David (Linda) and Jacqueline (Ron) Ziemer; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Charleen in 2014 and his parents.
