JoAnna Shirley Gostomczik, age 88 of Kasota, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 Monday, October 30, 2017 at the Church of St. Peter, St. Peter with visitation beginning at 9:30am. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family.
JoAnna was born November 20, 1928 in Mankato to Lawrence and Marie (Viegel) Snyder and is a graduate of Loyola High School. She married George Gostomczik on December 3, 1947 at Ss. Peter and Paul in Mankato. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, crafts, jigsaw puzzles, sewing and knitting.
Left to remember Joanna are her children: Deanna (Dan) Ulman, Steve (Bonna), Helen (Mark) Mueller, Doris (Dennis Petersen), Marlene (Gary) Schmidt and Deb (Tim Elbert); 11 Grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sister Rosemary Freeburg and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband George in 2007 and 2 brothers: Bernard and Gene Snyder.
