Donna Mae Polenske, 90, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at the Wellstead Memory Care in Rogers, Minnesota.
A funeral service will be held at the St. Peter Funeral Home on Monday, June 12, at 11 a.m., with a one hour visitation prior to the service.
Donna Mae Hale was born on April 2, 1927 in Kasota Township, Le Sueur County, Minnesota. Donna worked at various jobs during her life; the main one being where she retired from, Washburn Laboratories. She was a member of the Cleveland Church of Christ in Cleveland, Minnesota. Donna enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and going out to eat with family and friends. She spent many, many hours babysitting her granddaughter. Donna was a loving and wonderful lady to her family and friends. She was a very hard worker who would help most anyone who needed it. She will be greatly missed by her family and loved ones forever.
Donna is survived by her only child, Karen (Don) Wollin; her only granddaughter, Tammy (Joe) Hron; three grandchildren, Natalie Gibbens, Madison Gibbens, and Chandler Gibbens; four step-grandchildren; one sister, Doris Edberg (Maynard Krentz) ;two sisters-law, Darlene Hale and Joann Hale; one brother-in-law, Elmer Polenske; and six nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ida Hale; her husband, Harold Polenske; two brothers, Darwin and Dayton Hale; and an infant brother and sister.
