Hazel Johnson

Hazel Johnson, age 96 of St. Peter, died Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Benedictine Living Community of St. Peter. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday October 19, 2016 at St. Peter Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m., until the time of the service on Wednesday. Burial will take place at a later date in Kern’s Oak Grove Cemetery, rural North Mankato. Hazel was born July 17, 1920 to William and Laura (Werner) Linde in Smiths Mill, MN. She was united in marriage to Gordon Johnson on December 1, 1940 in North Mankato, Minnesota. Hazel was employed by the Holiday House and Swedberg Drug. She enjoyed Minnesota Twins Baseball, bowling, fishing and recalling memories of her full life. Hazel is survived by her son Ronald (Tetyana) Johnson of Fort Myers, FL; two grandsons Steven (Lisa) Johnson, Matthew Johnson; brother, Donald Linde of California; nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gordon; and three brothers, Roy, George, and Herman.
