Ida Mae Bennett

Ida Mae Bennett, age 97 of St. Peter, died on August 4, 2016 at the Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter.

Memorial service will be 11:00 am on Friday, October 28, 2016 at St. Peter Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter.

Ida Mae was born on April 5, 1919 in Oshawa Township, Nicollet County to Henry and Winifred (Gau) Filler. She married Vern Bennett and they made their home in both the Twin Cities and St. Peter. Ida Mae was employed as the secretary for Summit Park in St. Peter, and was active in the St. Peter Catholic Community. She enjoyed cards, crosswords, good food and will be remembered for her spunky character and her smile.

She is survived by a sister, Lorraine Lorge and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, siblings, nieces, nephews and caretaker and niece Karen Lorge.
