Arlyce Bussman

Arlyce Bussman, age 86 of St. Peter, died on Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter.

Memorial Visitation: 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Friday, May 27, 2016 at St. Peter Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the St. Peter Veteran’s Memorial.

Arlyce Elaine was born on March 4, 1930 in Martin County to Alden and Helen (Stassen) Austin. She was united in marriage to David Bussman on September 8, 1950 and they made their home together in St. Peter. She worked as a nurse at the St. Peter Community Hospital and later as a rural mail carrier for the St. Peter Post Office, retiring in 1995.  She was a member of the Rural Mail Carriers Association and enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and painting ceramics.

Left to remember Arlyce are her children: Mike (Linda) of St. Peter, Larry of Whittier Alaska, Doug of Sparks Nevada and Nancy (Terry) Sargent of Janesville; grandchildren: Heather (Doug) Burlingame, Karri Ostrowski, Ethan (Erin Brage) Passon, Steve (Jessica) Passon, Emily (Aaron Guerdet) Meyer, and Dillon Bussman; great grandchildren: Tyler, Drew, Jeremy, Makenna, Annika, Wyatt, Tayte, Steven, Jocelynn and Drake; sister: Maxine Thate of Sioux Falls, SD; and many nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered by dear friends Mark and Deb Johnson of Cleveland MN. She was preceded in death by her husband David in 2007; grandson Shaun; parents; in-laws; brother, Marland; and two nephews.
