Sharon Hansen – Risse

Sharon Hansen – Risse, age 71 of St. Peter and formerly of Duluth, went with her Lord on December 28, 2015 at her home. Celebration of life will be from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Monday, January 4, 2016 at the Redmen Club in St. Peter. Services in Duluth will be at a later date.

Sharon was born on July 25, 1944 in Duluth. She graduated from Duluth Central high School in 1962. She married Robert Hansen and relocated to Mankato until 1987 when she moved to Arizona where she worked for the Sedona Fire Department. She later returned to the area, residing in St. Peter.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Dorothy Elmquist; brothers: Richard, Don, Tony and Jim and sister Barbie; second Husband Gene Risse. She is survived by sons: Steve (Kelly) Hansen of Sunrise FL and Scott Hansen of Duluth; daughter Brenda (Jerry) Carpenter of St. Peter; grandchildren: Heidi, Alyssa, Chase, Kelsey, Cole, Emily and Tate; great grandchildren: Skylar, Emmalynn, Rylan and Sofia; sisters: Eileen, Beverly, Betty, Peggy, Virginia, Mary and Jo; brothers: Leon, Rodney and Warren; and other relatives and friends. A special thank you to the Mayo Hospice staff for everything they did for Sharon.
