Lillie Margaret Olean Beaumont, age 99, of St. Peter, died Saturday, December 19, 2015, at Benedictine Court in St. Peter.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at the Church of St. Peter, with Rev. Todd Petersen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in St. Peter. St. Peter Funeral Home handled the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
Lillie was born January 14, 1916, in Paynesville to John and Petronella (Gregerson) Dalhaug. She was a graduate of Central High School in Minneapolis and later received her nursing certification. Lillie was united in marriage to Maurice G. Beaumont on October 14, 1937, in Paynesville. She was employed at the MN State Hospital in St. Peter for thirty years, retiring in 1978. Lillie was a member of the Church of St. Peter, where she was a past Regent of the Catholic Daughters. She was a caregiver to others for all of her life. She enjoyed puzzles, sewing, crocheting, reading, traveling, and time spent with her grandchildren.
Lillie is survived by her three children, Elizabeth (Henry “Tim”) Frawley of Bullard, TX, Patricia (LeRoy) Swenson of Red Wing, and Michael (Karen) Beaumont of Callahan, FL; son-in-law, Ralph Gilbertson of Eau Claire, WI; 18 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; close friends, Paul and Corrin Hagen and their family of St. Peter; and also many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maurice in 1999; two children, Maurice A. Beaumont and Kathrin Gilbertson; daughter-in-law, Carol Beaumont; two granddaughters; three brothers and five sisters.
