Harry James Lumsden, age 61 of St. Peter, died on Friday, October 25, 2013 at the Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter.
Memorial visitation will be from 3:00 " 5:00 pm on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at St. Peter Funeral Home with a prayer service at 5:00 pm. A gathering of friends and family will continue at 5:30 pm at the Red Men Club in St. Peter. Urn Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
Harry James was born on December 7, 1951 in Fargo ND to Donald and Rusha Lumsden. He enlisted in the Unites States Navy on May 28, 1969 and proudly served his country until he was honorable discharged in 1973. He was united in marriage to Susan Wettergren on June 2, 1984 at the Church of the Holy Communion in St. Peter. They made their home in Henderson where he worked that the Minnesota Security Hospital for 26 years before retiring and moving to St. Peter. Harry loved traveling to Branson MO with friends, playing cribbage with his father-in-law, BINGO and giving gifts to friends and family.
Grateful for having shared in his life are his wife: Susan; mother, Rusha; brothers: Tom (Maureen) and Donald (Rachel); brothers-in-law: Richard (Janet) and Mark (Jackie); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald and Susan's parents: Clarence and Helen.
