Retired vice-president of Northern Con-Agg and longtime Hallett Construction Company producer, Lewis D. Seely, 81 of St. Peter, MN died Friday, November 22nd. Visitation is Friday November 29th from 4-7 followed by a Masonic Service at 7pm. Church services are 11am on Saturday November 30th at Union Presbyterian Church. Burial is in Lakewood Cemetery, Crosby, MN.

Lewis Seely was born October 27, 1932 to Jess and Ethel (Nichols) Seely at Staples, MN. He attended public schools in Staples, Crosby and St. Peter, MN. He married Lavonne A.White of Crosby, MN on August l0, 1956 in the Little Brown Church at Nashua, Iowa.

He was a 57 year member and elder of Union Presbyterian Church in St. Peter, a past Grand Prelate for the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of Minnesota, a member of the Zuhrah Shrine, Scottish Rite, Minnesota York Rite, Royal Arch Masons St. Peter, Cryptic Masons Central Council, Knight Crusader of the Cross, Knight Templar Priest and National Knight Commander of the Grand Encampment of Knights Templar of the United States of America.

He was a life member of the American Legion & served with the 82nd Airborne Division during the Korean War. For 50 years he supervised & produced construction aggregates for many government and commercial projects including I-29/35/90/94, the AFB Grand Forks and several missile sites, airports, roads and bridges in Minnesota, Iowa and the Dakotas. He was general superintendent during construction of the Mankato Regional Airport. In later years he worked on quality control, land acquisition, mining permits and government affairs.

Lewis Seely is survived by his wife, Lavonne, a daughter Laura and husband Rev. Karl Rydholm of Mankato, a son Dr. David Seely and his wife Debora of Albion, MI, a son Tom Seely and his wife Cheryl of Eagan, MN , and five grand children: Siri (Noah) Krienke, Anders Rydholm, Matthew, Gregory and Kristin Seely. Three sisters: Marie Schmidt of Philbrook, MN, Joan and Charles Hagberg of Crosby, MN, Phyllis and Robert Wendelschafer of Beaverton, OR, one brother Russell and Jean Seely of Casselton, N.D. and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Parents and two brothers, Douglas and Richard. Lew is missed dearly by his family and friends.
