Cheryle Ann Emerson, age 59 of Kasota, died on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at her home.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church of Kasota with Chris Conlin officiating. Burial will be at Kasota Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 " 7:00 pm on Monday at St. Peter Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Cheryle was born on March 17, 1953 in St. Peter to Walter and Veleta (Johnson) Mutch and was a graduate of St. Peter High School. She married Rick Emerson, and they later divorced. She worked 27 years at ADC/Onan Corp., 10 years at Rolco, and 33 years with the Arlington Raceway. She enjoyed sewing, word searches, riding Harley with Steve "Dawg", and spending time with her granddaughters. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh.
She is survived by children: Melinda (significant other Eric Jentz) and Derek (significant other Katie George); grandchildren: Courtney & Gracie White; mother, Veleta Bartlett; longtime companion Steve Sprenger; siblings: Linda (Dana) Skroch, Joanne (Joe) Derner, Janis (friend Roger Schultz) Bartlett, Lorrie Zacharias and Susan (Bob) Allen; Cheryl (Cliff) Hickson, Laurie (Mark) Preston, and Cindy (Steve) Skostad. She is also survived by Nephews:Josh (Sara), Daniel (Dana), David, Stephen, Timothy (Mel) Skroch, Cary and Jesse Zacharias, Levi (Amanda) Allen, Brett (Ashley) Allen, Nolan Nimps and Timmy Lorentz. She is survived by Nieces: Jodi (Mark) Lumsden, Nikki (Kurt) Crosby, Jennifer Nimps and Rachael Skroch. Cheryle is also survived by her ex mother in law Loretta Emerson and sister in law Linda Lorentz and step mother Geraldine Mutch and many more relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by fathers: Walter Mutch and Kenneth Bartlett; and infant sister, Linda.
