Julia "Julie" T. Spoors, age 94 of St. Peter, died on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Grandview Good Samaritan Center in St. Peter.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the Church of St. Peter in St. Peter with Fr. Phil Schotzko officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Julie was born on December 4, 1917 in Oshawa Township, Nicollet County to Joseph and Julia (Unsitiz) Schneider. She worked many years for ADC and Hermels Wholesale before retiring. She was an active member of the St. Peter VFW Auxiliary and enjoyed baking cookies, fishing, watching the Twins, her parakeet Pretty Bird, playing cards and embroidering.
Julie is survived by sons: Art (Kathy) Spoors of Greybull, WY and Richard (Whitey) Spoors of Grand Rapids, MN; daughter: Linda (Tom) Severns of Mankato; Grandchildren: Susan, Ramona, Michelle, Jesse, Christopher, Kelly and Konor; siblings: Leona Bliss of North Carolina, John Schneider and Mary (Arden) Thompson both of St. Peter; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: an infant brother, Joseph, Edward, William, Agnes Attenberger and Catherine Drummond.
