Lorraine A. Davis, age 85, of North Mankato, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, August 9th, at Grandview Good Samaritan Nursing Home in St. Peter. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 13th at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake with Rev. Robert Schneider officiating, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery, Madison Lake. Visitation will be from 3:00 " 6:00 p.m. on Sunday August 12th at St. Peter Funeral Home with a prayer service at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church Monday.

Lorraine was born on January 9, 1927 to Ernest and Agnes (Hoehn) Frederick in Mankato. She lived in the Madison Lake/Marysburg Area and graduated from Cleveland High School in 1944. On May 14, 1947, she married Melvin W. Davis at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake, Minnesota. They lived in Mankato/North Mankato for many years before moving to Lake Ballantyne in 1985. After her husband's death in 1989, she moved back to North Mankato.

Lorraine was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Ladies Sodality, Catholic Daughters and sewing group, American Legion Post II Auxiliary and Mankato Elks Does. She worked at Midtex Electric Company before marriage and after her children were grown. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, dancing, playing cards, sewing, watching the Minnesota Twins and especially spending time with her family.

Lorraine is survived by her children: Dianne (Dave) Andros of St. Peter, Rick (Barb) Davis of Sioux City, IA, Barbara (Bill) Jentz of St. Peter, and Karen (Kevin) Plummer of Burnsville; 16 grandchildren (Micah, Ticalle, Melanie, Katie, Mike, Kim, Krista, Kelli, Kati, John, Laura, Matt, Rob, Nick, Jonathan, and Kaitlyn); 24 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marcella Baker, Dorothy Biehn, Grace Bohr and brothers, Jim Frederick, Olley Frederick and Willard Frederick; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Mel, sisters, Margaret Schlingmann, Lucille Doran, Phyllis Eder and brother Bubby Frederick.
