Elmer Walter Tolzman, age 93 of St. Peter, died Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Grandview Good Samaritan Center in St. Peter.
Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Peter at 11am on Monday, October 15, 2012. Visitation will be held at St. Peter Funeral Home-Klein Chapel from 3 to 5pm on Sunday, October 14, 2012 and will continue one hour before the service at church. Burial at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on German Lake.
Elmer was born on February 21, 1919 to Arthur and Sophia (Rabenhorst) Tolzman in Elysian Township. He graduated from Waterville High School. In 1940, Elmer was united in marriage to Fern Johnson at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on German Lake. He farmed in Elysian Township across from the homestead where he was born. Elmer also worked at the MN Security Hospital in St. Peter until he retired in 1978. Elmer was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Peter and enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting and woodworking.
Elmer is survived by his children, Ralph (Jean), their children, Tracy and Trent; Sharon (Linus) Hebl, their children, Kelly and Ben; Craig (Marlene), their children, Jill, Erin and Drew; 9 great-grandchildren and many other loving relatives.
Elmer was preceded in death by his wife, Fern in 2003 and one great-grandchild.
