Marion Grace Boys, age 89 of St. Peter, died Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at the Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., May 9, 2009 at Church of St. Peter Catholic Church with Rev. Phil Schotzko officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church on Saturday. St. Peter Funeral Home-Klein Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
Marion was born on April 10, 1920 in St. Peter to Albert and Regina (Walter) Seitzer. She was united in marriage to Ralph Boys on June 6, 1945. Marion was employed at Cooks Clothing Store. She was a member of the Church of St. Peter and served on the funeral committee for many years. Marion loved to bake and have people in for coffee. She made her own noodles for chicken hot dish and invited people for dinner. Marion enjoyed crocheting and made many afghans to give as gifts. She also enjoyed fishing with her husband, Ralph, getting together with friends and traveling. Marion and her husband also spent time serving folks at various locations including the American Legion and the VFW.
She is survived by a brother, James Seitzer of St. Peter; sisters-in-law, Genevieve Boys of St. Peter, and Oradell Mers of Highland Park, IL; many nieces and nephews.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph in 1979; her parents; brother, Robert Seitzer; and sister-in-law, Marie Seitzer.
