Ardis M Meyer

Ardis M. Meyer, age 94 of St. Peter, died Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Benedictine Living Community of St. Peter.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 2, 2011 at St. Peter Evangelical (Bell) Lutheran Church in rural Waterville with Rev. Russ Grabow officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter Evangelical (Bell)Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at St. Peter Funeral Home-Klein Chapel and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be given to St. Peter Evangelical (Bell) Lutheran Church.

Ardis was born September 28, 1916 to Arthur and Elizabeth (Knapp) Culver in Sheffield, IA. On June 19, 1934, Ardis was united in marriage to Alvin A. Meyer in Faribault, MN. She was baptized and confirmed on April 12, 1936 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran (Bell) Church. Alvin and Ardis were blessed with their daughter, Elizabeth (Betty). Ardis worked as a dental assistant for Dr. John Tiede in Le Center for 21 years.

Ardis is survived by her daughter: Betty (Bill) Gustafson; six grandchildren: John Skillings, Jean Bender, Julie Leiferman, Laura Hardy, Paul Skillings and Susan McCoy; seventeen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brother, Harold Culver; two sisters: Eileen Lutcavish and Bernadine Hulsing; and many nieces and nephews.

Ardis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin; six sisters; and four brothers.
