Margaret E. Sperry, age 97 of St. Peter, died on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Central Health Care in Le Center. Graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Glenwood Cemetery, Mankato. Memorials may be directed toward the Le Center's Central Health Care Center chapel, or the donor's choice.
Margaret Elsa was born on December 18, 1913 in Mankato to Fredrick James and Lillian (Chase) Sperry. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1931 and also from Mankato Teachers College, majoring in English. She then taught school in Delhi near Redwood Falls for six years in the English Department. Later, she worked in a state office in St. Paul before retiring and moving to St. Peter. She then resided at Central Health care in Le Center for the past 21 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers: Lyle in infancy and Wilbur.
