Betty Lechtenberg, age 77 of St. Peter, died Thursday, September 29, 2011 at her home in St. Peter
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm., Monday, October 3, 2011 at Bethel Baptist Church in Mankato. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Granville, Iowa. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. St. Peter Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany Academy in Bloomington, MN.
Betty J. was born December 4, 1933 to Andrew and Anna (Schweigert) Bertsch in McLaughlin, SD. On September 19, 1958, she was united in marriage to David Lechtenberg. For 20 years, Betty worked in food service for the St. Peter State Hospital.
Betty is survived by her husband, David; son Brad (Lee Ann) and their children: Jacob, Charlie, Emma, and Annie; son, Scott (Mary) and their children: Luke, AJ, and Ben.
