Helen Glenice White, age 77 of St. Peter died on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the River's Edge Hospital in St. Peter.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Peter with Rev. David Naumann officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00"7:00 pm on Wednesday at St. Peter Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Helen was born on December 3, 1933 in McIntosh, South Dakota to William and Murrel (Irwin) Wiedenheft. She retired from the St. Peter Community Hospital in January of 1999, but continued to serve on the hospital commission from July 1999 until her death. She enjoyed volunteering at the Second Time Around Thrift Store and with the League of Women Voters. She also served many years as an election worker at the voting booths. Helen was a member of the St. Peter VFW Auxiliary and enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling and most of all, her family.
Helen is survived by her children: Wade (Suzie) Pedersen, Steve (Stacy) Menke, Charles (JoEllen) Menke and Billy White; step-children: Judith (Richard) Rustman and Sandy (Pat) Kennedy; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; her beloved four legged friends Boo and Dutchess.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother: William, infant sister, and granddaughter: Kristine Bridges.
