Vadis LaRene Rozsa, age 70 of St. Peter, died Friday, November 25, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester as the result of a lengthy battle following heart surgery.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Church of Christ in Cleveland, Minnesota with Pastor John Kester officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 " 7 p.m., Tuesday and one hour before the service on Wednesday all at the Church of Christ in Cleveland. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the donor's choice. St. Peter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Vadis LaRene Rozsa was born September 9, 1941 in Mankato to Leo and Leona (Jacobsen) Wernimont. She graduated from St. Peter High School in 1959. Vadis was united in marriage to Sandor Rozsa on June 22, 1959 in St. Peter. Vadis was a homemaker for her family and also worked some part time jobs in the St. Peter area.
She was a member of Cleveland Church of Christ, and the Dorcas Circle. Vadis and Sandor were active in the Republican Party. She enjoyed coffee with family and friends daily at the Country Kitchen. Vadis also enjoyed bowling, porcelain doll collecting, and was deeply committed to the Christian faith and her family.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Sandor of St. Peter; three children, Ric (Melissa) Rozsa of Rochester, Nick Rozsa of Mankato, Kim (Troy) Miller of St. Peter; five grandchildren, Lindsey and Alec Rozsa, Ryan Rozsa, Allen and Max Miller; one brother, Ronald (Rosalie) Wernimont of Stewartville; nephews and many cousins.
Preceded in death by her parents.
