Evelyn M. Schultz, age 95, of St. Peter, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the Benedictine Living Community after a brief illness.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Peter with Rev. Eric Natwick officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 -11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church Saturday. Burial will be in Belle Plaine, MN. Memorials preferred to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, or to donor's choice. St. Peter Funeral Home/Klein Chapel is assisting the family.

Evelyn M. Schultz was born July 1, 1916 in Blakeley Township, MN to William and Ida (Jandt) Kahle. She married Andrew Schultz on June 5, 1935 in Belle Plaine. They raised four children on the family farm. Andy passed away December 28, 1968. Evelyn then married Henry Schultz on August 3, 1971. Together they lived in Waseca, MN until Henry's passing on August 9, 1982. Evelyn continued to live in Waseca until March of 2008. She then moved to St. Peter. She loved being a homemaker, dancing, volunteering, traveling, and quilting.

Evelyn is survived by four children, Leona Miller of St. Peter, Marvel (John) Godin of Sarasota, FL, Maynard (Joan) Schultz of Minnetonka, MN, Glenna McDonald of Gloucester, MA; brother, Orville Kahle of Belle Plaine; sisters-in-law, Jean Kahle of Springfield, MO, Harriet Schultz of Chaska, MN, Ruby Phillips of West St. Paul, MN; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a multitude of friends.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two brothers; and two sons-in-law.
