Mildred Hadac, age 85 of St. Peter, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2010 at Immanuel-St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Church of St. Peter in St. Peter with Fr. Phil Schotzko officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the start of the service at the church on Friday. Memorials are preferred to VINE or the Nicollet County Volunteer Drivers. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mildred was born on July 4, 1924 in Lonsdale to Thomas and Christina (Kotek) Chlian. She was raised in Lonsdale and is a graduate of New Prague High School. She was united in marriage to Stanley Hadac on September 6, 1944 in El Paso TX. Mildred was a homemaker and caregiver for her family; especially caring for her husband during his illnesses and to her son Scott. She was a member of the Church of St. Peter and the VFW Auxiliary Post 1220 in St. Peter. She enjoyed cooking, canning, vegetable gardening and being with family and friends.
Mildred is survived by her children: Gail (Tim) Strand and Scott Hadac, both of St. Peter and Lynn (Walt) Johnson of Alexandria; grandchildren: Crystal Johnson of Lanesboro and Joe Johnson of Alexandria, and sisters-in-law Betty Chlian of Lonsdale and Bessie Chlian of New Prague.
She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley in 2007, her parents and siblings: Ralph, Arnie, Robert, and infant brother Leonard.
