Lila June Peterson Faust of St. Peter passed away on February 14, 2010.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at First Lutheran Church in St. Peter with Rev. Alan Bray officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the start of the service at the church. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Lila was born on June 19, 1923 to Alder and Hilma Peterson in South St. Paul, MN. She grew up in South St. Paul and went on to attend Gustavus Adolphus College where she met Robert "Bob" Faust. Bob and Lila were married on August 3, 1947 at Bethesda Lutheran Church in South St. Paul.
They made their home in St. Peter where her husband Bob owned and operated Faust Drugs. Lila was employed at Faust Drugs until 1972 when the store was sold. She later worked at Swedish Kontur Imports for over 20 years where she proudly shared her Swedish heritage with all who shopped there.
Lila was a member of First Lutheran Church of St. Peter and PEO. She was also a breast cancer survivor. She loved animals and enjoyed spending time laughing with her children and grandchildren and playing trucks with her great-grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Robert "Robby" Faust and companion Terry Becker; daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Faust Goze and husband Michael; five grandchildren, Jessica Faust and husband Michael Flynn, Christopher Faust, Nickolas "Nick" Goze, Anthony "Tony" Goze, Ahney Goze; two great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Holden Flynn; sister-in-law Mary Jane Monson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lila was preceded in death by her parents; brother and husband, Bob in 1996.
