William A. Stoffregen
William Allen Stoffregen (96) passed away on Monday, February 22nd with his loving wife at his side. His children and grandchildren surrounded him with love in his final days. William was born on the Stoffregen family farm in Oshawa Township, Nicollet County on January 01, 1914 to William Sr. and Anna (Grandt) Stoffregen. William was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church. He married Muriel Krohn at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church on June 07, 1945. They enjoyed almost 65 years of marriage together. William farmed his entire life in Oshawa Township. William enjoyed farming his land and raising his family in the home that he and Muriel built, spending time with his children and grandchildren, playing Triominoes with Muriel, gardening, fishing, westerns and his faithful dog Jake. In September of 2007 William and Muriel moved to Heritage Meadows Senior Living in St. Peter where they enjoyed the fellowship of many old and new friends.
William is survived by his wife, Muriel, three sons and two daughters, Michael and Theoline of Windom, Allen (Pete) of Lewiston, Idaho, Gerald (Joe) and Sharon of North Mankato, Jan and David Johnson of St. Peter and Jill Stoffregen and Mike Rafter of Mankato . 11 Grandchildren Tonia and Garrett Weber, Brandon and Katie Stoffregen, Michelle Stoffregen and Fianc"e Jon Hermanson, Amanda and Stacy Stoffregen, Emily and Jameson (JD) Johnson, Robert and Sophie Draper; one Great Grand-daughter, Ana Stoffregen. Sister Dolly Trozzolo and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. God Bless his memory.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Peter with Rev. Matthew Rauh officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
