Geneva Marie Museus, age 89 of St. Peter, died Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at River's Edge Hospital in St. Peter, MN.
Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Maharry officiating. Burial will be in North Rush River Cemetery in Baldwin, WI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. St. Peter Funeral Home-Klein Chapel assisted the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to River's Edge Hospital in St. Peter and the St. Peter Area Hospice.
Geneva was born June 29, 1920 to Olaf Andreas and Belle (Hansen) Museus in Woodville, WI. She started school in the Woodville area and graduated from Baldwin High School in Wisconsin. After graduating from Minneapolis Business College, Geneva was an executive secretary at Montgomery Ward in Minneapolis, then Green Giant in LeSueur. Later, she became a clerk at the LeSueur County Treasurer's Office. Geneva was a resident in LeSueur for twenty years until she moved to St. Peter. She was secretary of the PTA, a member of the Monday Club, Zion United Church of Christ, and later became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of St. Peter. Geneva was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Geneva is survived by her two daughters: Debra (Doug) Nelson of Mankato and Sheryl (Mark) Youngblom of St. Peter; four grandchildren: Nathaniel (Jessica) Youngblom, Adam (Kelly) Youngblom, Emily Marie (Michael) Schlueter, and Dillon Nelson; three great-grandchildren: Colin Youngblom, Kyle Youngblom, and Savannah Marie Schlueter; and many nieces and nephews.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents; twin brother, Jewel Museus; brother, Kenneth Museus; nephew, Jerry Museus; and step-son, Sheldon DeRoyce Cooper.
