Chad Pehrson, 40 of St. Peter, passed away Friday, July 30, 2010 after a long battle with health problems and cancer.
Beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend; was born on November 26, 1969 in St. Peter, MN. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Franklin and Kathryn Pehrson, Vernon and Catherine Benson, uncle Frank Pehrson Jr. and uncle Bob Janovsky.
Chad is survived by his parents Richard and Nancy of St. Peter, sister: Mitzi and special friend Ernie Mendez of Spring Creek NV; brother Patric and Amy, niece Grace and nephews Luke and Jacob of St. Peter, brother Todd and Nancy of Spring Creek NV, brother Wade of Spring Creek, NV and his black lab Blu.
Chad was a 1988 graduate of St. Peter High School. He pursued a career in acting and modeling, and appeared in movies such as "A Simple Plan", "Beautiful Girls", and "Major League Three". Chad had a short career with US Bank. He then became an assistant wrestling coach for Spring Creek High School in Nevada. Throughout his 40 years of life and 27 years of health problems, Chad kept a positive attitude. He was an inspiration to many people, friends and family. Chad did not complain about his illness, but used it in a positive way to teach people to always strive for what you want in life. Chad was very active in 4-H as a mentor and teacher to the local youth. Chad was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary's Catholic Church and was a member of the Church of St. Peter in St. Peter.
Chad enjoyed fishing, hunting, acting, sports, modeling, showing cattle, golfing, his Ranger boat, family, faith and love.
Mass of Christain Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the Church of St. Peter in St. Peter with Fr. Phil Schotzko officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:30 pm on Friday, August 6, 2010 at the church, with a prayer service at 7:30. Visitation will continue one hour before the service on Saturday. St. Peter Funeral Home " Klein Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
