Ellen G Redning

Ellen G. Redning, age 69 formerly of St. Peter, died Friday, August 06, 2010 at Oaklawn Care Center in Mankato.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at St. Peter Funeral Home-Klein Chapel with Rev. Don Holmstrom officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, August 9, 2010 at St. Peter Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ellen Gail was born November 12, 1940 to Morris and Marjorie (Johnson) Redning in St. Peter. She graduated from St. Peter High School in 1959. Ellen had done a lot of babysitting and was a housekeeper at Good Samaritan Grandview Health Care Center. She enjoyed all kinds of music, crafts, birds, cats, and dogs. Ellen was a kind, gentle, thoughtful, and caring person. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Ellen is survived by her 8 siblings: Sharon (Len) Elyea, Duane Redning, Caroline (Don) Uhler, Nancy Redning, Alden (Vonnie) Redning, Darlene Schmidt, Curt (Pat) Redning, and Veleta Bartlett; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Wills; 3 brothers-in-law: Jim Schmidt, Warren Wills, and Ken Bartlett; 2 nieces: Linda Sue Mutch and Brenda Schmidt; and nephew, Larry Schmidt.
