Charlotte Frances Osborne crossed over to her new life on October 23, 2010 at the age of 96, in her home.

She has resided in St. Peter all her life. Charlotte was born to Frank and Emma (Hames) Miller on March 21, 1914. Her twin sister, Mary, died shortly after birth. She married Raymond F. Osborne on March 31, 1937.

Charlotte is survived by two sons: Bill (Sharon) and Tom (Kay) both of St. Peter; five daughters: Kay (Meyer) and husband Bill Brown and Joan (Schloesser) Osborne both of St. Peter, Rita (Gene) Thelemann of Minneapolis, Mary Ann Osborne, SSND of Mankato, and Debra Osborne of Berkley MI; 27 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and three in-laws: Mike (Jean) Osborne and Irene (Osborne) Schumacher.

She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond, grandchild Shannon Schloesser, son-in-law Tom Meyer, her parents and brothers and sisters.

Charlotte enjoyed flower gardens, adding creative touches to things, knitting hats for Children's Hospital cancer patients, her life on the farm and helping at church. She was a member of the church of St. Peter in St. Peter.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at the Church of St. Peter in St. Peter with Mass of Christian Burial at 5:00 pm with Fr. Phil Schotzko celebrating the Liturgy. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter. Following the burial a lunch will be provided by the family at the church. Memorials are preferred to Appalachia Missions or ISJ Hospice. St. Peter Funeral home is assisting the family with arrangements.
