Lyle A. Mueller, age 70 of St. Peter, died Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Oaklawn Health Care Center, exactly fifteen years to the day of the passing of his beloved wife, Lana surrounded by his daughters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 23, 2010 at the Church of St. Peter with Fr. Phil Schotzko officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in St. Peter. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at the Church of St. Peter with a 6 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. St. Peter Funeral Home-Klein Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.
Lyle Andrew was born May 10, 1940 to Harold Ellsworth and Mabel Lucy (Guertin) Mueller in Le Sueur, MN. He graduated from Le Sueur High School. On December 23, 1961, Lyle was united in marriage to Lana Lyn Green in St. Anne's Catholic Church in Le Sueur. He was employed by the MN State D.O.T. on the bridge crew until he retired in 1998. Lyle was a member of the Church of St. Peter and Knights of Columbus and taught gun safety training for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gambling (casinos or with friends), going to Vegas, his grandchildren, and his dog, Tani.
Lyle is survived by his three daughters: Stephanie (Ron) Hill and their children: Danielle (Karl) Gansen, Brianna (Tim) Sinclair, Raunatta and Samarra; Rebecca Sullivan and her children: Jamey (Kendra Tilton), Tye and Beau; and Stacey Mueller and her children: McKayla, Natcea, Brylee and Madigan; four great-grandchildren: Cash Gansen, Amy Sullivan, Harlan Sinclair and Finnigan Hill; one sister, Jeanne Feeney; and several nieces and nephews.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Lana on December 16, 1995 and an infant sister, Audrey.
