Mary Lou Erhorn, age 84 of St. Peter, died on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at ISJ Hospital in Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Church of St. Peter in St. Peter with Fr. Phil Schotzko officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael Cemetery in Bayport, MN. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Friday at St. Peter Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6:30. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Mary Lou was born on October 6, 1926 in Stillwater, MN to Marie Radke. She was raised by her maternal grandparents, John and Augusta Conroy and Aunt Bea and husband Dave Bjorkman. She was schooled in Stillwater, graduating from Stillwater High in 1944. After graduating she worked various jobs - starting as a bank teller in Stillwater and later ending as a nurse's aide at the St. Peter Health Care Center. In 1948 she was united in marriage to Roy "Bummer" Erhorn, Jr. and they later divorced. Mary Lou was a member of the Church of St. Peter, Catholic Daughters, and the St. Peter Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed canoeing, bowling and was a giving and caring person who always helped others. She always had a special place in her heart for the Stillwater area and the St. Croix River.
Mary Lou is survived by 4 daughters: Rose Marie "Tootsie" Sulander, Elizabeth Ann "Woody" (Chuck) Zieman, Patricia Margaret "Patsy" (Michael) Rambo and Kim Louise "Kimmer" (Dean) Kleist; 11 grandchildren: Greg (Leissa) Sulander, Christine (Shanan) Smith, Kelly (Pat) Beaumaster, Angela (Don) Bennett, Josie Brown, Andy Redning, Adam (Donna) Rambo, Eric (Natelle) Rambo, Matt (Jesse) Rambo, JoAnne (Paul) Newman and Mitch Kleist; 17 great grandchildren: Kelsey, Lyndsey, Zachary, Jackson, Rylee Rose, Mason, Quinton, Hudson, Gregory, Sarah, Ryan, JD, Paige, Breck, Savanah, Nyah, and Addyson; siblings: Pat, Butch Sharon, Michael, Paulette and Debra; sisters-in-law Sherry, Pat and Delores; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, maternal grandparents, 4 brothers: George, David, William and Jack; and a sister, Sister Suzie.
Lulu is now canoeing down the beautiful Heaven River.
