Paul A. Hentges, age 52 of St. Peter, died Monday, March 28, 2011 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 1, 2011 at St. Peter Funeral Home-Klein Chapel. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, March 31, 2011 at St. Peter Funeral Home with a 6:45 p.m. prayer service and sharing of memories. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Paul Alexander was born September 15, 1958 to Donald and Dorrae (Osmundson) Hentges in Rochester, MN. He graduated from St. Peter High School in 1977. Paul attended St. John's University for 2 years. While living in St. Peter, he was able to meet the love of his life, Laquetta. On February 11, 1984, Paul was united in marriage to Laquetta Poulton in Henryetta, Oklahoma. They made their home there for seven years and were blessed with two sons, Kyle and Ryan. Paul and his family moved back to St. Peter, Minnesota in 1991. It was here, that the Hentges touched so many lives. He worked hard all of his life, enjoyed helping others and could do anything (jack-of-all-trades). A selfless, hardworking man, who in 2001 became a business owner of Laquetta, Inc. where they manufacture shipping racks for Cambria. Paul believed, "you should always have a plan A, B & C." He was very spiritual and believed that "everything happens for a reason" and "God works in mysterious ways."
Paul is survived by his wife Laquetta of St. Peter; 2 sons: Kyle Hentges of Austin, TX and Ryan Hentges of Mankato; siblings: Mike (Nancy) Hentges of Tulsa, OK, John Hentges of LeSueur, Karen Hentges of Apple Valley, Barbara (Blaine) French of Lakeville, Diane (Andy) Olson of Stillwater; brother-in-law Greg Poulton of Henryetta, OK; parents-in-law Dean and Mary Spurling of Pharoah, OK and many nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joseph Hentges.
