Timothy John Manko, age 56 of St. Peter died on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at ISJ Hospital in Mankato.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, April 22, 2011 at Jesus Assembly of God Church in St. Peter with Pastor Greg Stone officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, St. Peter. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am on Friday until the start of the service at the church. Memorials may be directed toward the Hope Lodge of the American Cancer Society in Rochester. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Tim was born on February 13, 1955 in Minneapolis to Paul R. and Bonnie M. (Walstrom) Manko. He attended and graduated from St. Cloud Technical College for water treatment. On May 20, 1978, he was united in marriage to Diana K. Niederer at Christ Center Ministries in Minneapolis. They made their home in St. Peter where for the last 18 years he worked in water treatment for the City of Mankato. Tim was a member of Jesus Assembly in St. Peter and was a Union Steward for the City of Mankato. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars and especially loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Tim was a humble and simple man always willing to help others; a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.

Tim is survived by his wife, Diana; children: Rosalie, Joy (Dylan) Tate, Hannah, Aaron John, and Amber; grandchildren: Zachery, Andrew and Kaylee Manko; mother Bonnie (Donald) Lowinske; brothers: Kristopher and Craig; sister: Cindra Simpson; mother-in-law Shirley and many other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father and father-in-law Dan Niederer.
