Ronald Charles "RC" Neary, lifelong resident of St. Peter, died on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health System " Mankato at age 68.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, April 22, 2013 at the Church of St. Peter in St. Peter with Fr. Phil Schotzko officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter. Visitation will be from 1:00 " 5:00 pm on Sunday with a prayer service at 4:30. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

Ronald Charles was born on July 13, 1944 in St. Peter to Sylvester and Sarah (Bartels) Neary. He attended John Ireland Catholic School and is a graduate of St. Peter High School. He was a member of the MN National Guard serving from 1964 until 1993. On June 18, 1966 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth "Betty" Chatlean at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Franklin. They made their home in St. Peter where he worked as a mechanic and wrecker operator for several businesses including: Texaco, Komatz Construction, Organizational Maintenance Shop #6 in New Ulm, and 41 years with the St. Peter Fire Department; 35 years as engineer.

Ron was a member of the Redmen Club and American Legion Post 37 and enjoyed his fire truck, parades, Pioneer Power, trains, race cars, NASCAR and Sprint Cars, and having coffee with friends.

Grateful for sharing his life are his wife: Betty, sons: Ron Jr. (Sally) and James (Ann); granddaughters: Erin and Krystalin; grandson Ryan; sister: Eileen Attenberger; and his dog, Ginger. A special thank you to all the Doctors, nurses, and caregivers at MCHS Manakto; and the friends and relatives who assisted in driving to medical appointments and dialysis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty's Parents, three Sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law.
