Curtis E. Redning, age 76 of St. Peter, died Sunday, April 28, 2013 at the Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 3, 2013 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Church and one hour prior to the service at the Church on Friday. St. Peter Funeral Home-Klein Chapel assisted the family with the arrangements.
Curtis was born January 6, 1937 to Morris and Marjorie (Johnson) Redning in St. Peter. After high school he earned his certificate in Landscaping from Canby Vocational School. On July 20, 1969, Curtis was united in marriage to Patricia Grande in Cottonwood, MN. They made their home in St. Peter and Curtis worked several jobs including: farming driving semi for Mankato Ford, the St. Peter Feed Mill, Hendrickson Organ, driving transit for the city of St. Peter and parts delivery for CarQuest in St Peter. He enjoyed antique cars and tractors, "junking", playing cards and Yahtzee.
Curtis is survived by his wife Patricia; his three children: Christopher, Carrie (Brian) Radloff and Cathlin (Daniel) Schwarze; siblings: Veleta Bartlett, Darlene Schmidt, Alden (Yvonne) Redning, Nancy Redning, Caroline (Don) Uhlir, Duane Redning and Sharon (Len) Elyea; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Bette Wills and Ellen Redning; 3 brothers-in-law: Jim Schmidt, Warren Wills, and Ken Bartlett; niece, Brenda Schmidt; and nephew, Larry Schmidt.
