Harriet Louise Albrecht, age 84 of St. Peter died Sunday, January 6, 2008 peacefully at her home.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Peter with Rev. Charles Degner officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, St. Peter. Visitation will be from 4 " 7 pm on Wednesday at St. Peter Funeral Home " Klein Chapel and will continue one hour prior to the service at church. Memorials are preferred to St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Harriet was born October 7, 1923 in Superior, WI. She graduated from Superior High School and attended St. Luke's in Duluth MN for nursing. She married Courtney Albrecht on October 19, 1946 in Superior. Harriet worked at the St. Peter State Hospital from 1963 until retiring in 1990 after 27 years.
She was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church and enjoyed baking bread, weekend football and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Harriet is survived by her children: Charlotte Albrecht and husband Buddy Rogers of Minneapolis, John (Jack) and wife Barbara Albrecht of St. Peter, Cathy and husband Dennis Strand of St. Peter, David and wife Linda Albrecht of St. Peter, and Mark and Fianc"e Samantha Milanowski of Wisconsin; grandchildren Krista, Kari, Kyle, Ann, Nick, Kaitlin, Jessi, Cole, Luke, Cort, Christian and Connor; great-grandchildren Kadence and Ryan; dear friend, Barb Krohn and daughter Debbie; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Courtney in 1994; her parents; sister, Charlotte; brothers, Bob and Bill; nephew, Billy; and great-nephews, Stevie and Louie.
