Earl Warning, age 90 of St. Peter passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 3, 2008 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Peter with Pastor Matthew Rauh officiating. Burial will be at Greenhill Cemetery in St. Peter. Visitation will be held from 4-6pm on Sunday, March 2nd at St. Peter Funeral Home-Klein Chapel and again one hour prior to the service at church.
Earl worked for his father at Warning's Sheet Metal in St. Peter. When his dad passed away, he and his brother Roy took over the business until retiring in 1983. He was a member of the St. Peter Fire Department from 1942-1967 and retired as a Captain. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and especially spending time at his cabin on Lake Washington. He always looked forward to touring the local countryside scouring for bargains; shopping with his special friend and neighbor Tim. They enjoyed coffee together almost every morning and of course their mutual interest in fishing.
Earl is survived by his children: Bernie (Renee) Warning of Edmond, OK and Trudy (Denny) Hewitt of Nicollet; grandchildren: Brad (Teresa) Hewitt, Wendy (Lane) Parks, Lonny Hewitt (Mandi Ahlbrecht), Tricia (Ryan) Frederick, and Tiffany Hewitt (Josh Beyer); 8 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife Norma; parents Martha and Charles Warning; brother Roy Warning; and grandson Brian Warning.
