Harold "Peanuts" Coulter

Harold "Peanuts" Coulter, age 93 of St. Peter, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2008 at Immanuel-St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at St. Peter Funeral Home " Klein Chapel. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the start of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Peter.

Harold was born on December 18, 1914 in Lake Prairie Township to John and Julia (Gilbertson) Coulter. He moved to St. Peter and worked for H.B. Seitzer for 11 Years. In 1938, he married Hollie Young and they enjoyed 69 of marriage together.

Harold was a member of the St. Peter Fire Department for 27 " years, beginning his service in 1940. He served in the U.S. Navy for 2 years in Okinawa, and returned to work for Dick Maltby Plumbing. After Dick passed away, Harold and George Spiess took over in 1950 and operated the business together until George's death. Harold then solely owned and operated the plumbing shop, later taking on Dick Ryan as a partner. Harold sold the business to dick in 1968 and retired.

Harold was a great hunter, fisherman, and traveler.

He is survived by his wife Hollie of St. Peter; nephew Sid Tousley; niece Mary Lundon; and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his brother Russell Coulter and sister Marcella Tousley.
