Nancy Schwichtenberg, age 66, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver of Kasota, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at her home after a two year battle with cancer.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 27, 2008 at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Peter with Rev. Eric Natwick officiating. Burial will be in Kasota Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Thursday at St. Peter Funeral home Klein Chapel and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Nancy was born on December 4, 1941 to Joseph and Geraldine (Blake) Kramer in Minneapolis Minnesota. She enjoyed cooking, canning, and baking, especially cookies, breads and cinnamon rolls. She enjoyed knitting and sewing for everyone. She worked in health care all her life, with the last 17 years as a hospice caregiver in her home. She guided 99 souls on their trip to Heaven. Her book, "The Angels I Hold In My Arms" has many stories of her patients and their families. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Peter.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 35 years, Roland Schwichtenberg of Kasota; daughter, Terrie Wolle of Vancouver, WA; sons, Bob (Kris) Wolle of Vancouver, WA, Jim (Tiffany) Schwichtenberg of Vancouver, WA, Carl (Julie) Schwichtenberg of Ames, IA; grandchildren, Ashley, Bryan and Brianna Wolle, Noah and Leah Schwichtenberg; mother, Geraldine (Walter) Mutch of St. Peter; brothers, Steve Kramer of Mankato, Mike Kramer of Denver, CO and Richard Kramer of Wisconsin; sister, Kathy (Jim) Andresen and daughter Megan; many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Kramer, two granddaughters, Brianna and Clarissa Schwichtenberg.
