Karl Raymond Miller died at Central Nursing Home in Le Center on September 25, 2008 following complications from knee and hip surgeries.

Karl was born March 23, 1927 in St. Peter, MN to Albert L. Miller and Emma T. (Young) Miller.

He graduated from St. Peter High School in 1945 and later served in the United States Army from 1950 to 1952, fighting in the Korean War, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He then became a member of American Legion and Veteran of Foreign Wars. He worked as a bartender, bar manager and Supper Club owner, then retired after 21 years of service with the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

He married Leona Schultz of Belle Plaine, MN. They were blessed with seven children; Kathy (Charlie) Anderson of Spirit Lake, IA; Gayle Miller of St. Peter; David Miller of Rogers, MN; Judy (Greg) Watke of Coon Rapids, MN; Julie (Sam) Gault of St. Peter; Paul (Angie) Miller of Lake Elmo, MN and Andrea (Tom) Haglund of Coon Rapids, MN. Karl is survived by fourteen wonderful grandchildren; Karl, Kayla, Jordan, Collin, Spencer, Benjamin, Alexandra, Nick, Joe, Sophie, Isaiah, Andrew, Elaina and Nathan.

Karl is survived by brothers, Charles Miller, Kenneth (Helen) Miller, both of Mankato, Jim (Margaret) Miller of St. Peter and sister, Lucille Halbert of St. Peter. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Evelyn Schultz of St. Peter, sisters-in-law; Marvel (John) Godin and Glenna McDonald and brother-in-law Maynard (Joan) Schultz.

Karl was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings; Evelyn Wedin, Bernard Miller, Irene Schoen, Andrew Miller, Coletta Mielke, and Robert Miller.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of St. Peter Catholic Church in St. Peter, MN, on Monday September 29th at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00-7:00 at St. Peter Funeral Home with a prayer service to follow at 7:00 pm. The visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
