Adler Carl Erickson, age 95 of Mankato and formerly of LeSueur, died Friday, October 17, 2008 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at Scandian Grove Lutheran Church, Norseland with Rev. Jerry Lanes officiating. Burial will be in Scandian Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of the service at the church on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Scandian Grove Lutheran Church. Arrangements are being handled by St. Peter Funeral Home-Klein Chapel, 507-931-2750.
Adler was born on October 4, 1913 in LeSueur, MN to Albert J. and Matilda (Edblom) Erickson. After graduating high school Adler attended Mankato Commercial College. On June 24, 1944 he was united in marriage to Margaret Kovich in Otisco, MN. Adler was a lifelong farmer and also was the Lake Prairie Township Supervisor, and worked for the Rush River Co-Op Dairy Association. He was a long time and active member of Scandian Grove Lutheran Church in Norseland. He enjoyed traveling, especially wintering in Arizona, playing cards, and church activities, especially working at the Lutefisk dinner which he and Margaret worked for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Erickson of Mankato; niece, Marilyn Berdahl of Delano; sister-in-law, Mildred (Marvin) Johnson of Crystal; many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harry and Melville.
